James Tyler is a Weather and Crop Researcher at Expana, specializing in weather data, satellite imagery, and crop science. James holds a degree in Geography and a Master’s in Geographical Information Systems (GIS). At Expana, he is responsible for maintaining, analyzing, and utilizing weather and satellite data within the agricultural sector. He also plays a key role in developing and enhancing crop-related content. By leveraging this data, James delivers comprehensive insights into markets and crops affected by extreme weather events such as floods, droughts, and tropical cyclones (including hurricanes and typhoons). Together with the weather team, he regularly produces content on a wide range of crops from around the world, primarily through Expana’s monthly weather report.
