Cookie policy
Cookies and how they benefit you
Our website uses cookies, in combination with pixels, local storage objects, and similar devices, as almost all websites do, to help provide you with the best experience we can. Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer or mobile phone when you browse websites. Cookies contain information that is transferred to your computer’s hard drive.
Our cookies help us:
- Make our website work as you’d expect;
- Remember your settings during and between visits;
- Allow you to share pages (including with social networks, e.g. Linkedin, Facebook);
- Continuously improve our website for you; and
- Make our marketing more efficient.
We do not use cookies to:
- Collect any personally identifiable information (without your express permission)
- Collect any sensitive information (without your express permission)
- Pass data to advertising networks (without your express permission)
- Pass personally identifiable data to third parties (other than as described in this policy, with your permission)
- Pay sales commissions
Granting us permission to use cookies
Other than necessary cookies, we only set cookies (including third-party cookies) on your device if you have given your consent through our cookie banner, powered by Cookiebot, our consent management platform. You can change your choices or withdraw your consent at any time via the cookie settings on our website. You can also block or remove cookies in your browser settings, however doing so will likely mean that our site will not work as you would expect.
Types of cookies
We use the following cookies:
- Necessary cookies. These are cookies that are required for the operation of our website. These essential cookies are always enabled because our website won’t work properly without them. They include, for example, remembering your search settings or cookies that enable you to log into secure areas of our website.
- Statistics cookies. These allow us to recognise and count the number of visitors and to see how visitors move around our website when they are using it. This helps us to improve the way our website works, for example, by ensuring that users are easily finding what they are looking for.
- Preferences cookies. These are used to recognise you when you return to our website. This enables us to personalise our content for you, greet you by name and remember your preferences (for example, your choice of language or region).
- Marketing cookies. These cookies record your visit to our website, the pages you have visited and the links you have followed. We will use this information to make our website and the advertising displayed on it more relevant to your interests.
For a detailed list of all the cookies used by our websites, please read and review our cookie list in the Appendix.
Choices about cookies
You can choose which preferences, statistics and marketing cookies we can set by clicking on the button(s):
- Necessary cookies: ALWAYS ACTIVE
- Statistics: OFF
- Preferences: OFF
- Marketing: OFF
You can also choose to “Deny” cookies in the cookie banner. This would not stop necessary cookies.
However, if you use your browser settings to block all cookies (including necessary cookies) you may not be able to access all or parts of our website, or some parts may not function as intended.
Except for necessary cookies, all cookies will expire within two years.
Third-party cookies
Please note that the following third parties may also use cookies, which we do not control (although, in the case of Demandbase, we act as joint controllers for the collection of data on our website, as described below). These named third parties may include, for example, advertising networks and providers of external services like web traffic analysis services. These third-party cookies are likely to be preferences, statistics or marketing cookies:
Demandbase
Facebook
Google
HubSpot
LinkedIn
Microsoft
Spotify
Zoominfo
We use Demandbase, a third-party account-based marketing platform, to help identify the organisations visiting our website and to better understand how visitors engage with our content. Demandbase does this using tracking technology (including cookies) placed on our website, which collects data such as IP address, device and browser information, and pages viewed. This data is shared with Demandbase and used to match website visits to business accounts, generate engagement and intent insights, and, where applicable, support personalised website content (for example, content tailored to the organisation you appear to be visiting from) and targeted advertising to relevant business accounts. This tracking only occurs where you have consented to the relevant cookie category, and you can withdraw this consent at any time via our cookie settings.
The Demandbase tag is deployed via Google Tag Manager (GTM) and is gated by Cookiebot’s consent management framework. This means that your consent choices are checked before the tag is permitted to fire.
Demandbase is categorised under the “Marketing” consent category in our cookie management platform (Cookiebot). The tag’s firing trigger is conditioned on this category being accepted by the site visitor.
- If the visitor accepts the “Marketing” cookie category, the Demandbase tag fires and the associated cookie(s) are set.
- If the visitor does not accept “Marketing” (either by rejecting it explicitly or not granting consent), the Demandbase tag does not fire, and no cookie is set.
This ensures Demandbase only operates with affirmative visitor consent, in line with the site’s cookie consent framework. If you withdraw your consent, the Demandbase tag will stop collecting data and Demandbase will suppress the data already collected from further processing within 48 hours.
To deactivate the use of third party advertising cookies, you may visit the relevant consumer page to manage the use of these types of cookies. Please note that disabling these cookies will likely break the functions offered by these third parties.
To opt out of being tracked by Google Analytics across all websites, visit http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Social website cookies
So you can easily like or share our content on the likes of Facebook and Twitter, we have included sharing buttons on our site. The privacy implications of this will vary from social network to social network and will be dependent on the privacy settings you have chosen on these networks.
Anonymous visitor statistics cookies
We use cookies to compile visitor statistics such as how many people have visited our website, what type of technology they are using (e.g. Mac or Windows, which helps to identify when our site isn’t working as it should for particular technologies), how long they spend on the site, what page they look at etc. This helps us to continuously improve our website. These so called “analytics” programs also tell us, on an anonymous basis, how people reached this site (e.g. from a search engine) and whether they have been here, before helping us to put more money into developing our services for you instead of marketing spend.
Turning cookies off
You can change your cookie preferences by clicking the button at the bottom left of the page. Doing so however will likely limit the functionality of our websites as cookies are a standard part of most modern websites. It may be that your concerns around cookies relate to so-called “spyware”. Rather than switching off cookies in your browser you may find that anti-spyware software achieves the same objective by automatically deleting cookies considered to be invasive.
Further information
If you have any questions or concerns about our use of cookies, please send us an email at [email protected].
Our privacy policy can be found at our website under Legal > Privacy Policy.
