This April, Christy Puffenbarger will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 50th edition of the Executive Conference at the Wynn, Las Vegas.
The moment coincides with two milestones: the conference’s 50th edition, and Christy becoming the first woman to chair the National Turkey Federation in its 80-year history.
The Lifetime Achievement Award is given to an individual who has had a multi-faceted and distinguished career in the food industry, while supporting and advocating for others in the sector. Few careers fit that description more completely than Puffenbarger’s.
She began with Rocco/Cargill, spending 17 years across production leadership before joining Aviagen Turkeys in 2006, where she leads a global technical services team covering flock health, welfare, and performance. She is a PAACO-certified animal welfare auditor and has served on NTF’s Executive Committee, Welfare Standards Subcommittee, and Animal Health Task Force.
“Progress will depend on thoughtful, practical solutions that work across the entire supply chain,” Puffenbarger has said, a philosophy that has guided more than three decades in the industry.
Be there when she receives it. The Executive Conference, April 20–22 at the Wynn Resort & Casino, Las Vegas , 400+ senior protein leaders, three days of expert analysis, and this year, a moment worth witnessing. Places are limited.
