Expana has successfully completed its sixth consecutive annual independent assurance review against the International Organisation of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) Principles for Price Reporting Agencies, covering 123 of its proprietary agri-food price assessments. The review resulted in 90 Type 2 and 33 Type 1 assurances across key commodities spanning the agri-food supply chain.
IOSCO’s PRA Principles are widely used across commodity markets as a benchmark framework for the governance, integrity, and transparency of price assessment processes, with external assurance reviews to validate the PRA’s adherence to its stated methodologies and controls.
With 123 IOSCO-assured agri-food price assessments, Expana continues to operate the largest IOSCO-assured benchmark suite in agri-food, and one of the most extensive suites across the PRA sector.
“Customers don’t use benchmark prices in theory, they use them to run procurement, settle contracts, manage exposure, and make trading and risk management decisions,” said Marcel Goldenberg, Co-Chief Market Reporting Officer at Expana. “That’s why IOSCO assurance matters: it puts independent scrutiny behind our methodologies and the controls that govern how we assess markets day in, day out. In volatile and fast-moving markets, this review gives users of our Expana Benchmark Prices confidence that they are working with prices they can rely on every single day.”
