The EU is a major player in the sunflower seed market, accounting for approximately 20% of global sunflower seed production. Sunflower seeds are used across a range of sectors, from food and cosmetics to industrial applications. Tfhe oilseed is also widely used as animal feed material in the EU’s livestock industry. This assessment will complement Expana’s existing sunflower seed coverage and enable Expana subscribers to compare prices across key exporting regions.
Sunflower oil is one of the major vegetable oils, obtained from the crushing of sunflower seed and widely used in both food and industrial applications. Egypt plays a key role in the global sunflower oil trade, driven by rising domestic demand and limited local production. The Sunflower Oil CIF Egypt assessment complements Expana’s comprehensive sunflower oil coverage, providing additional granularity and information for the global sunflower oil markets.
