The assessments will reflect the transactable value at 16:00:00 London time.

Italy ranks among the top five producers and consumers of organic milling wheat in Europe and has driven three-quarters of the EU’s growth in organic soft wheat production since 2017. In addition to raw grain, Italy is a leading producer of organic pasta and flour, with organic ingredients central to its value chain. Barley feed is a critical input for the sustainable livestock sector, where organic demand is expanding but formalized pricing remains lacking. Likewise, organic soybeans play an important role in Italian animal feed and ingredient supply chains, though transparency in this segment is limited.

The assessments will help bring transparency to traditionally opaque segments of the organic grains and oilseeds markets, complementing Expana’s existing coverage of conventional markets.
