US Turkey Methodology Change Notice 

Expana is a leading source for price reporting in the US Turkey sector and regularly solicits feedback from stakeholders to ensure that our coverage reflects current trading conditions and practices. 

On August 1 2025, Expana proposed changes to its turkey market coverage and sought industry feedback on those proposed changes. The comment period has now closed. In keeping with our commitment to provide the most meaningful and transparent market information to stakeholders, Expana intends to the initiate the following additions to existing U.S. turkey market coverage:  

Effective date: On September 2, 2025, Expana intends to add a Forward Looking Frozen Whole Turkey Pricing table:

This latest enhancement further supports Expana’s commitment to advancing market transparency within the U.S. turkey sector by aligning with the industry’s standard practice of forward booking frozen whole-body turkeys, especially in advance of the holiday season. It provides greater price visibility for confirmed bulk of sale transactions executed during the specified delivery windows, which were previously outside the purview of our reporting methodology. 

The methodology document posted at www.expanamarkets.com/our-methodology/market-announcements/ will be amended to reflect these additions which will go into effect on September 2, 2025.
