Expana Proposes Methodology Changes to the Mexico/Latin America Exports Report: Report Name Change and Expanded “Regional” Market Coverage

Expana is proposing to rename the Mexico/Latin America Exports Report to the US Pork Exports Report to better reflect the broader range of export destinations. The proposed report would encompass export markets including Mexico, Central America, South America, the Caribbean, and the Asia-Pacific region, including Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, and the Philippines.

Expana is collecting feedback from market participants until September 7, 2026.

The proposed changes would be as follows:

Rename the Mexico/Latin America Exports report to US Pork Exports	To better reflect the broader scope of the assessments and align the report name with the export markets currently represented in the US pork market, including Mexico, Central America, South America, the Caribbean, and the Asia-Pacific region, including  Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, and the Philippines.

Expana proposes to implement these changes to the daily assessments in Q4 2026, pending stakeholder feedback.

The proposed assessments would reflect market and transactional data collected during the reporting period.
