Expana has announced the launch of two new forecast products on its platform: US Chicken Thigh Meat and Chicken Jumbo Breast Tenders. These additions respond directly to growing client demand and further broaden Expana’s extensive coverage of the chicken market, featuring over 50 forecast price series for poultry including wings, breasts, and trim meat.

“These two new commodities within the poultry segment are of significant importance,” said Kevin Bull, Senior Forecast Analyst at Expana.

“Their introduction offers greater coverage of the market and ensures that Expana provides customers with the required core forecast for the world’s most popular choice of meat.”

With recent market volatility triggered by factors such as the US HPAI outbreak, rising feed costs, and shifting import/export dynamics, prices for chicken cuts have fluctuated significantly. As a result, forward-looking insights have become increasingly essential for traders and buyers alike.

“The pricing position for Chicken Thigh Meat US and Chicken Jumbo Breast Tenders is forecasted to decline as we progress into the end of 2025,” added Kevin Bull. “Individual cuts of chicken have very particular market characteristics, resulting in specific forecasts being required for those markets.”

“Given the range of forecasting price series’ we offer, our customers can get a full picture of what to expect from different protein commodity markets over the coming months and years.”

Forecasts are an essential tool to enhance profitability and reduce risk in the agrifood sector. Advanced predictive models in Expana’s forecasting allow individuals to anticipate price shifts and make predictive decisions, keeping them ahead of market volatility.

For stakeholders seeking a complete view of commodity price movements, Expana also provides forecasts for essential feed ingredients like corn and soybean meal, alongside key indirect cost drivers including plastics, energy, and transportation.

“By tapping into this comprehensive market information, you can better understand the market dynamics behind commodity prices. This insight can be used to gain negotiating leverage and allow you to make more informed strategic decisions that improve your business’ bottom line,” Kevin Bull concluded.
