Indonesia, along with Malaysia, is a key producer and exporter of palm oil and its derivatives, with Palm Fatty Acid Distillate (PFAD) being a critical component of the palm complex. The increasing global palm oil supply has led to higher availability of PFAD residue for various uses, including use as a renewable raw material in biofuel production. PFAD is also used for animal feed and in the oleochemical industry.
