Jack Bobo is the Executive Director of the UCLA Rothman Family Institute for Food Studies and an honorary professor at the University of Nottingham. He previously served as Director of the Food Systems Institute at Nottingham and as Director of Global Food and Water Policy at The Nature Conservancy. Earlier, Jack was CEO of Futurity, a food foresight company, and spent over a decade as a senior advisor on global food policy at the U.S. Department of State. Named one of Scientific American’s 100 most influential people in biotechnology and recipient of the Borlaug CAST Communication Award, he is the author of Why Smart People Make Bad Food Choices, which explores how psychology and food environments shape consumer behavior. Jack has delivered more than 1,000 speeches in over 50 countries, inspiring audiences on food security, agricultural innovation, and the future of food. Through his leadership at UCLA, consistently ranked among the very best public universities in the United States, he is advancing Nudge the Planet, an initiative to reduce polarization and build trust in food and agriculture. Cornel Boere is the Global Procurement Director Raw Materials & Ingredients of Royal Agrifirm Group. He has, as son of a dairy farmer, his background in agriculture with a Master degree at Wageningen University, the Netherlands. He has been in Agrifirm for 18 years in different procurement management roles. Cornel is within Agrifirm responsible for the central procurement team and a variety of subjects which has effect on procurement like; global procurement strategy, supply chains risks, sustainable and responsible sourcing.

Stefan Tangermann was until end-2008 Director for Trade and Agriculture at the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), Paris. He is now professor emeritus at the Department of Agricultural Economics and Rural Development, University of Göttingen, Germany.

Before joining the OECD in 2002, Mr Tangermann was a professor of economics and agricultural economics at the universities of Frankfurt/Main and Göttingen. His academic work has focused, among other topics, on the need and options for reforming agricultural policies in OECD countries, on the analysis of global markets for food and agricultural products, and on strengthening the rules for agricultural trade, with a particular emphasis on the WTO.

Mr Tangermann is a Member of the Göttingen Academy of Sciences and Humanities and was its President from 2012 to 2016. For a long time he was a member of the Scientific Advisory Council of Germany’s Federal Ministry of Agriculture, and he also served as a member of Germany’s Science Council. From 2001 to 2025 he was a member of the Steering Committee of the High Level Panel of Experts of the United Nations Committee on World Food Security. Mr. Tangermann has advised several governments, including those of the USA and China, the European Commission and various international organisations.

Mr Tangermann was awarded the Order of Merit, First Class, by the President of the Federal Republic of Germany. He is a Fellow of the European Association of Agricultural Economists and of the German Agricultural Economics Association.

Santiago Beguería is a Senior Investigator at the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), the third-largest public research institution in the European Union. He holds a PhD in Physical Geography, and his work lies at the intersection of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences, Environmental Science, and Agriculture.

His current research focuses on developing operational climate services to support agroclimatic risk management. He has broad expertise in applied statistics, particularly in the analysis of spatio-temporal processes in the Earth and biological sciences.

His work brings together an interest in climate variability, ecosystem responses, and the practical challenges faced by agricultural and environmental systems.

Maren Peters is a Sourcing Development Manager at Tradin Organic. She holds an MSc in Organic Agriculture from Wageningen University, specializing in sustainable business and innovation, and an MBA in Sustainability Management. Over the past 10 years, she has built and managed organic value chains across West and East Africa, supporting thousands of smallholder farmers through collaborative, multi-stakeholder projects. Maren is driven by a passion for connecting producers in the Global South with international markets, strengthening organic and agroecological farming systems through close cooperation with farmers, supply chain partners, and development organizations. After a formal education in logistics and purchasing, Tom Bundgaard worked for 13 years in procurement as a Purchasing Manager. From 2000 onward, Tom Bundgaard specialised in commodities from an analytical forecasting standpoint based on technical and fundamental analysis. Dr. Hao used to serve as Director of General Office, Board Secretary, and Chairman at China National Bluestar (Group) Co., Ltd, etc. From 2017 to 2018, Dr. Hao was the Deputy Chairman of Adisseo.  Since October 2018, he has been the Chairman of the Company. Harold de Boer is Head of Research & Development at Transtrend, one of Europe’s leading Commodity Trading Advisors (CTAs). With more than 35 years of trading experience, he oversees the firm’s research, portfolio management, and trading activities.

Both Transtrend and Harold have deep roots in agricultural markets: the company began in the late eighties as a research project within an agricultural trading house, and Harold was born and raised on a dairy farm in Drenthe, the Netherlands.

Rodrigo Bermejo, sugar & ethanol analysis manager, is natural from Brazil and has a bachelor degree in Agronomy and an MBA in Strategic Business Management.

With more than 10 years of professional experience working for trading companies and consultancies, Rodrigo has a solid background on crop forecasting, global supply and demand dynamics, and market-related factors such as trade flows and consumption.

Karolina Zagrodna is an experienced price reporter covering European feed additive markets. Andrew is the US Managing Editor of the Non-Protein PRA Team at Expana, where he directs a multinational team of price reporters covering agri-food commodities, and who produce proprietary prices in many opaque US markets as well as regular reports and insight for Expana clients. Andrew has years of experience in commodity risk management, creating and executing hedging strategies for soft commodities and leading commercial cost price negotiations with some of Europe’s largest CPG companies. In addition to covering the coffee and cocoa markets within Expana, Andrew leads on engagement with finance industry professionals to develop risk management solutions. 

Sandro Schulz is the EMEA Protein Team Lead at Expana, where he oversees the implementation and expansion of the company’s protein market coverage across Europe. Outside of work, James is a proud father, retired rugby player and now applying his attention to mastering the art of DJ-ing.

Luana has nearly two decades of experience in the agri-food industry, including roles at major manufacturing companies such as Nestle and AB InBev. During her career, she focused on leading data and intelligence strategies to support industry players in making informed strategic decisions.
