Beef variety methodology change notice

Expana is a leading source for price reporting in the beef varieties sector and regularly solicits feedback from
stakeholders to ensure that our coverage reflects current trading conditions and practices. On June 1, 2024, Expana
proposed changes to its beef varieties market coverage and sought industry feedback on those proposed changes. The
comment period has now closed. To improve market transparency and provide stakeholders with meaningful information,
Expana will make the following improvements to its beef varieties market coverage effective July 1, 2024.

Expana is proposing that the current items quoted will now have two additional reporting windows:

• Forward Period (15 – 60 Days)
• Export Quotation, reporting window (0-60 Days)

REASON FOR NEW REPORTING WINDOWS: Beef varieties are often bought and sold before production dates.
Providing coverage into forward and export windows will provide much greater transparency to the marketplace.

This latest change further expands Expana’s initiative to provide market transparency in the beef varieties market. The
beef varieties methodology document posted at www.expanamarkets.com/our-methodology will be amended to reflect
these changes, which will go into effect on July 1, 2024.
