Brazilian Chicken Exports Methodology Change Notice 

Expana regularly solicits feedback from stakeholders to ensure that our coverage reflects current trading conditions and practices.  

To improve market transparency and to provide stakeholders with meaningful information, Expana is requesting feedback on the following proposed changes to its Brazilian Chicken Exports market coverage.

Proposed effective date: On July 3 , 2026, Expana will be implementing the following changes:

REASON 

• Shawarma to the Middle East 

Shawarma cut has been traditionally commercialized in the Middle East market.  

CHANGES 

REASON 

• Rename Series codes 32256, 32257, 32258, 32259 to “Boneless Leg (Unsized, 200g and up)” 

 

• Remove “(200g and up)” from the Japan coverage 

 

• Rename Series codes 32260, 32261, 23262 to “Skinless Boneless Breast (Unsalted)” 

 

• Rename Series codes 32265 to “Feet (A Grade)” 

 

• Rename Series codes 32266 to “Paw (A Grade)” 

Detailed specifications are being modified to improve clarity around the quoted item and improve the quality of Expana’s assessment. 

 

Stakeholders can provide input on the proposed changes during a comment period which will take place from May 27, 2026 to June 7, 2026. Remarks will be published on Expana’s market reporting methodology page at https://www.expanamarkets.com/our-methodology/market-announcements/
