Following a period of market feedback, Expana has decided to launch 4 new weekly Expana Benchmark Prices (EBP) for fresh and frozen chicken cuts from Poland delivered to the UK market. The publication of the new assessments will start on Thursday, 6 November 2025.

The assessments will reflect the transactable value at 16:00:00 London time. The assessments will complement Expana’s existing EU chicken coverage providing additional insight and granularity into the fresh and frozen chicken cuts market.

Poland is the largest chicken producer in the EU, accounting for approximately 22% of the EU’s total chicken production. Frozen chicken cuts such as breast fillets, inner fillets, wings, drumsticks and leg quarters from Poland are heavily utilized in the retail and food service sectors across the European as well as in the UK market. The assessments will provide a set of reliable benchmarks in what is traditionally an opaque market.
