Expana to launch Grape Juice Concentrate Expana Benchmark Prices

Following a period of feedback, Expana has decided to launch 4 monthly Expana Benchmark Prices (EBP) for grape juice concentrate. The publication of the new assessments will start from Monday, 30th September 2024.

The initial proposal was announced in a market note published on Friday, 30 August 2024 which can be viewed here.

The specifications for these assessments will be as below:

The assessments will reflect the transactable value at 16:00:00 London time.

The assessments will cover major producing regions and exporters for grape concentrate. The European grape juice market has an estimated annual consumption exceeding 1 million tonnes, driven by strong demand for natural ingredients in food and beverages. Spain and Italy are the largest producers in Europe, while Argentina is a key exporter to the region. Launching these assessments will complement Expana’s existing juice coverage and will provide Expana subscribers with a set of reliable and independent price benchmarks for what is a highly consumed product in a traditionally opaque market.
