Jefo Nutrition Inc. has announced that it is leveraging a strategic C$256.4 million investment (approximately €256.4 million or US$278.2 million), announced in March 2026, in part to solidify its position in Europe; a market demanding sustainable, antibiotic-free livestock production. The company intends to share details of the European strategy at SPACE 2026 next months in Rennes, France.
“Europe is one of the world’s most demanding markets when it comes to responsible production, sustainability and reducing the use of antibiotics in livestock farming,” said Emilie Fontaine, vice president, brand and products, Jefo Nutrition. “This major investment will undoubtedly strengthen Jefo’s position as a leader in intestinal precision nutrition through the precise delivery of active ingredients, accelerating our innovation and production capabilities to support rapidly growing global demand in a food and agriculture sector undergoing profound transformation.”
In line with Jefo Europe’s 2026-2029 strategic plan, the investment supports the leveraging of Jefo’s technologies, new production lines at its second plant inaugurated in 2023, as well as the company’s new poultry research center and experimental feed mill. The investment will also be used to advance R&D across swine, poultry, ruminants, aquaculture, and companion animals sectors.
Founded in Canada in 1982, Jefo has been present in Europe (with its regional headquarters in Carquefou, France) for more than 25 years.
