Expana launches Grape Juice Concentrate Expana Benchmark Prices
September 30, 2024
Expana has launched 4 monthly Expana Benchmark Prices (EBP) for grape juice concentrate.
The initial proposal was announced in a market note published on Friday, 30 August 2024 which can be viewed here. The decision to go ahead with the launch was communicated in a market note on August 16th, 2024, which can be viewed here.
The specifications for these assessments are as below:
The assessments reflect the transactable value at 16:00:00 London time.
The assessments cover major producing regions and exporters for grape concentrate. The European grape juice market has an estimated annual consumption exceeding 1 million tonnes, driven by strong demand for natural ingredients in food and beverages. Spain and Italy are the largest producers in Europe, while Argentina is a key exporter to the region. The assessments complement Expana’s existing juice coverage and provide Expana subscribers with a set of reliable and independent price benchmarks for what is a highly consumed product in a traditionally opaque market.
